Privacy notice

Who are we?

Brightside Technology Ltd., trading as Untapped Asset™, is responsible for the personal information described here. Our company number is 17047608, registered in England and Wales.

For privacy questions, requests or withdrawal of consent, email hello@brightsidetech.net.

What does the interest form collect?

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your chosen role: owner, buyer, partner or a mix of these.
  • The asset type you select and your optional note.
  • The optional domain you would list first, if you name one.
  • Whether that domain's DNS is on Cloudflare: yes, elsewhere, or not sure.
  • Your consent to store these details and contact you about the private beta or future Untapped Asset services. The checkbox must be ticked before a registration is accepted.

We also store a registration reference, creation and consent timestamps, an updated timestamp when the same email is submitted again, and email-attempt status and provider message references. Your email is converted to lowercase and trimmed. Submitting that email again updates the existing registration instead of creating a second one. If the new submission names a domain, we send the same beta-lead notification used for a new registration and note that it updates an existing registration. A repeat submission does not send another confirmation email.

The hidden “website” field is an anti-spam honeypot. Its value is submitted to our server. If it is filled, the application returns a quiet response without saving a registration or sending these emails. It is not stored in the registration table.

The server receives your IP address and creates a keyed hash for submission limits. The registration table stores that hash, not the raw IP address. A hash can still be personal data.

Hosting services also process request information, which can include IP addresses and access logs.

Please do not include passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in your note.

Why do we use it, and on what basis?

We use your registration to record your interest, send a confirmation and contact you about the private beta or future Untapped Asset services, as stated beside the checkbox. Our lawful basis for storing and using your registration for those purposes is your consent.

Registering interest is optional. It does not create a seller account or guarantee an invitation. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or replying to your confirmation. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew.

We also use the IP hash, submission limits and email-attempt records to prevent abuse and duplicate sends.

Where is it stored?

Copies are held in our database and email service, in the operators mailbox and in your mailbox. Provider processing, support access and backups may involve locations in either the USA or Europe; the application code does not establish the locations or transfer arrangements.

How long do we keep it?

The current interest-form code does not automatically expire registrations or email-attempt records. Removing a database record does not by itself remove email copies, provider logs or backups.

How can you use your rights?

You can ask to see your information, correct inaccurate details, delete it, restrict its use or receive a portable copy where the right applies. You can also withdraw your consent to further contact. Other rights, including objection, depend on the lawful basis and circumstances.

Email hello@brightsidetech.net with the email address used for your registration and the request you want to make. You do not need a seller account. You may also reply to your confirmation to withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information.

These requests currently require operator handling. The form has no self-service deletion or unsubscribe control. Withdrawal should stop future consent-based contact; deletion must also address copies held by our providers and in our operator mailbox.

Does this form use cookies or analytics?

The current pilot homepage and interest form do not implement analytics, advertising trackers, cookies or persistent browser storage for your form details. Temporary form state is held in the open page. The pilot layout bypasses the generic authentication and theme providers.

What about domain enquiries?

If you contact a domain seller, that separate form collects your name, email, message, the domain concerned and any offered amount and currency. Our secure database stores the enquiry and audit records. The seller receives your contact details and message and replies directly by email. The seller is responsible for their subsequent use, and the website does not track those replies.

The enquiry service records references, timestamps, notification status and a keyed IP hash for abuse prevention. We use these to deliver and administer the enquiry. The current code does not automatically expire enquiry records. The rights and contact details above also apply to information we hold about enquiries; a request to us does not automatically remove the seller’s copies.
